About Piano Instructor Karina Mkhitaryan

Karina Mkhitaryan graduated with a degree in piano performance from the Music Academy in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 1963, after which she completed her graduate degree in music education and accompaniment. From 1968 to 1972, Mrs. Mkhitaryan worked as a piano teacher at Tbilisi's Professional School for Music. In 1972, when her family moved to Yerevan, Armenia, she began a 26-year career teaching piano at the L. Sauryan School.

Mrs. Mkhitaryan students have performed in professional piano competitions, joined professional music conservatories, and pursued professional music careers. Throughout her tenure at the Suaryan School, she taught many master classes to students from all over Armenia's capital. During those years she spent her summer and winter breaks attending the University of Education in Tbilisi, where she earned a second degree in World Literature. In 1998, she moved to Moscow, Russia, where she has taught private lessons for the last 12 years.

Mrs. Mkhitaryan offers beginning, intermediate, and advanced piano lesson tailored for the student. Hour and half-hour private lessons are available depending on age and skill level. Tuition is $50 an hour/$25 for 30 minutes.
