Opening of New Pre-Professional Ballet Academy September 2014

Artistic Motion Preparatory Academy (AMPA) Opens This Fall

Greensboro, NC (August 14, 2014) -- Artistic Motion School of Arts and Executive Director Natalya Davison are proud to announce the opening of Artistic Motion Preparatory Academy (AMPA), a pre-professional after-school ballet program, in September 2014.

AMPA will be under the direction of Alejandra Dore, former soloist of the National Ballet Company of the Dominican Republic. In addition to an extended international dance career, Dore has served as an instructor at the Dominican Republic's Bellas Artes, School of the Arts, and at the School Academia De Ballet Los Prados. She was Artistic Coordinator of the National Dance Company of Ecuador and Artistic Director of Danzarte, the school of the National Dance Company of Ecuador. Dore has spent the last four years teaching in schools in the Triad.

Artistic Motion Preparatory Academy is committed to providing excellence in dance instruction in order to mold and develop artists who are prepared technically, physically, morally, and emotionally to enter the world of professional dance. AMPA's curriculum is founded on the Vaganova ballet syllabus and is accentuated with classes in tap, jazz, contemporary, and character dance, as well as music and dramatic arts. AMPA instructors foster the skills and ethics needed to create strong performers and strong individuals.

"This is an exciting time for Artistic Motion." says Natalya Davison, Artistic Motion Executive Director. "I have been interested for a number of years in starting a pre-professional ballet program in our area that is modeled after my own Vaganova training. Our new facilities and recent hiring of new faculty have provided the resources necessary to do so. I am delighted to have Alejandra Dore directing the program and look forward to the growth and development of AMPA under her leadership."

Auditions for AMPA will be held on Saturday, August 30th and Sunday, September 7th for ages 10-13. Additional details on the program and auditions can be found at
