Auditions for New Pre-Professional Ballet Program
Upcoming Auditions for 2014-2015 Year
Greensboro, NC (August 25, 2014) - Artistic Motion Preparatory Academy (AMPA), a new division of Artistic Motion School of Arts (AMSA), is proud to announce auditions for a new pre-professional after school ballet program beginning in September.
AMPA will offer small, daily classes with world-renowned teachers. Dancers, ages 10-13, will receive 15-17 hours of after-school instruction each week. Classes will include: ballet technique; pre-pointe/pointe; variations; partnering; character; conditioning; contemporary; jazz; tap; piano; and drama for dancers.
"This is an exciting time for Artistic Motion School of Arts," says Alejandra Dore, Artistic Motion Preparatory Academy Director. "I am honored to lead our teachers as we begin training a new generation of professional dancers." Dore's instructional team will include professionals in the fields of dance, music, and drama.
AMPA will be auditioning dancers, ages 10-13, for their training program on Saturday, August 30th and Sunday, September 7th. AGES 10-11 begin registration at 9:00 am, with an audition from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. AGES 12-13 begin registration at 1:00 pm, with an audition from 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm. The Audition Fee is $35. Artistic Motion Preparatory Academy (AMPA) is a new pre-professional ballet training program in the Triad. AMPA maintains an internationally acclaimed faculty including alumni from Russia's Moscow State University of Dramatic Art and The Bolshoi Ballet Academy, the Dominican Republic's Acadamia de Ballet Santo Domingo, The Republic of Georgia's Music Academy, and the University of North Carolina's School of the Arts. Instructors are veterans of the stage and have danced professionally with the Bolshoi Ballet, the National Ballet of the Dominican Republic, the National Ballet of Armenia, Joffrey Ballet, Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, and Maryland Ballet.
AMPA is committed to providing excellence in dance instruction in order to mold and develop artists who are prepared technically, physically, morally, and emotionally to enter the world of professional dance. Our curriculum is founded on the Vaganova ballet syllabus and is accentuated with classes in tap, jazz, contemporary, and character dance, as well as music and dramatic arts.
