2010 Weekly Summer Dance & Music Camps in Greensboro, NC

Artistic Motion Dance has weekly summer camps at our downtown studio and as part of the Greensboro Day School Magic of Summer 2010 camps for kids. All classes are open to the public. Find out more about dates, fees, and registration by clicking these links.

Summer Camps

• Dance, Arts, & Tumbling Camp
  Ages 3-5 & Rising K-2nd Grade
  Learn creative movement, tumbling, stretching, and basic dance steps. Create arts and crafts used in dances.
• Becoming Little Musicians
  Age 3 to Rising K
  Learning rhythm, tone, tempo, instrument making, creative movement, early musical theory.
• The Sounds of Musicals
  Rising K-3rd Grade
  Learn basic techniques of vocal and tone production, breathing exercises and demonstrations, using a repertoire selection from some of the most famous classical and current musicals. Visual art is included daily to emphasize the music and musicals of the day.
• Beautiful Ballerinas
  Rising K-2nd Grade
  Explore the wonder of becoming a prima ballerina with basic dance training, arts and crafts, music.
• Cheerleading Camp
  Rising K-4th Grade
  Learn basic cheerleading movements, cheers, chants, jumps, acrobatics, and two dances. For kids with or without cheerleading experience.
• Broadway & Musical Theatre
  Ages 5+
  Experience what it means to be a STAR on Broadway: Singing songs from Broadway musicals, exploring Broadway choreography, and waltzing through Ballroom style.
• Beginning/Intermediate Dance Intensives
  Ages 6-10 & 10+
  Develop strength in all styles of dance and learn new styles as well.
• Exploring Hip-Hop & Jazz
  Rising 3rd-4th Grades
  Explore Hip-Hop and Jazz dancing in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Other Summer Dance Programs

Artistic Motion is offering professional dance instruction in ballet, modern dance, musical theatre, and ballroom at our downtown studios this summer. Yoga classes are also part of our downtown summer programs. Dancers interested in professional ballet intensives are encouraged to apply for our special program with Rachael Brierley of the Royal Academy of Dance in London in August.
