Artistic Motion School of Arts has been a vibrant part of the Greensboro community since 2000, welcoming students into a space where passion meets strong technique.

As one of the city’s leading centers for dance education, we provide exceptional training and a warm, inclusive environment for dancers of all ages and levels.

Our internationally trained faculty teaches a wide range of styles—from classical ballet to contemporary and jazz—allowing dancers ages 3 through adulthood to grow, refine their technique, or enjoy a creative, active outlet. Recreational and pre-professional students can choose from group classes or private lessons tailored to their goals.

What truly sets Artistic Motion apart is our community. Every dancer—beginner to advanced—feels supported, encouraged, and free to express themselves. This welcoming atmosphere builds confidence, creativity, and lasting friendships. We are dedicated to Nurturing Excellence in every student.

Our faculty brings world-class experience from renowned institutions such as the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Moscow State University of Dramatic Art, Academia de Ballet Santo Domingo, England’s Royal Academy of Music, the Republic of Georgia’s Music Academy, and UNCSA, with professional credits including Bolshoi Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, and more.

Artistic Motion is where exceptional training and true community meet—creating a home for dancers to grow and shine.

Professional Performances

At Artistic Motion, dancers learn by doing. Alongside strong technique training, students enjoy multiple opportunities to perform throughout the year.

The fall semester ends with Open Classes, inviting families to see students’ weekly progress. In spring, dancers showcase their work in a fully staged annual recital.

Students may also audition twice yearly for the Artistic Motion Dance Company. Company dancers perform in our annual Nutcracker each fall and in spring productions directed by Triad International Ballet, featuring local and international professionals. Recent collaborations include Don Quixote, Sleeping BeautyRomeo & Juliet, and the 2025 Coppélia.

Highly motivated dancers in the company receive extended weekly training alongside peers with similar goals and dedication.
